Should I??

I received this email from Teddy (see Parenting II below) the other day. This leads me to the pole question...

"Since i was a non smoker when i moved in. and now I'M unfortunately a smoker. what if. during the aweful, cruel, brutally and painfully cold winter i only smoked inside the office next to the window while the window is open. and make sure lots of insence is burnt in this room, and when guests are over i tell them there'S no smoking inside so it won'T become 'Bar like' to ensure that only i smoke in the house every couple of hours in the event that its raining or so painfully cold it hurts to go out. until i quit smoking again..... just a question. your approval matters, seeing as to how your the thoughtful and supportive landlord you are. let a nigga know."

Smoking in your newly refinished house?? NO WAY. Heck, I wouldn't let him burn incense in there, either! WE would never smoke in your Lischey house... :)

No Smoking. Period! The incense is way worse.

I've always used this rule:
Don't ask, beg for forgiveness later.
However in this instance, your tennant is exhibiting thoughtful behavior. Especially the hip ending. I think you should go over and give him some daps.

If he wants to stay warm, he should stay inside where there's no smoking.

A REAL landlord would provide a rusty 55 gallon fire barrel in the back yard so a man could start a fire to warm himself while he burns through a half-pack of Camels.

I think replacing the oven door was you being a cool landlord. Especially since you went to get it on your birthday. Let him freeze.
